Caitlin leads the firm’s Transactions team and advises on a broad range of corporate, commercial and taxation matters.  She is recognised in the 2024 Doyle’s Guide as a Leading Tax Lawyer in South Australia, reflecting her expertise in delivering commercially driven, technically precise advice across complex transactions.

Caitlin’s practice spans mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructures, and succession planning for both corporate groups and high-net-worth family enterprises.  Her ability to combine deep tax knowledge with practical commercial insight enables her to design and implement structures that achieve optimal outcomes for clients navigating growth, investment, or exit events.

She regularly acts on major domestic and international transactions, advising on all stages from structuring and due diligence to negotiation and completion.  Caitlin’s experience includes drafting and negotiating sophisticated corporate and commercial documentation, including share and business sale agreements, shareholders agreements, subscription and investment documents, trust deeds, and related governance materials.

Caitlin is a Chartered Tax Adviser with the Tax Institute of Australia and has particular expertise in restructuring strategies for large corporate groups, taxation of trusts and strategies for managing tax on transactions, including exit events and asset sales.  She also advises on property transactions and joint venture structures, applying a holistic approach to the commercial and tax dimensions of each matter.

  • Acting for the shareholders of CAMMS in relation to their USD $100 million exit to a US private equity fund

  • Acting for the purchaser of a large abattoir in regional Victoria

  • Acting for the shareholders of a NDIS Home Modifications provider in relation to a pre-exit tax restructure and the subsequent exit

  • Acting for Ellerston JAADE Australian Private Assets Fund in relation to a USD $25 million Series B funding raise in Sleek

  • Acting for Ellerston JAADE Australian Private Assets Fund in relation to a significant investment in an Australian-based multinational software platform business

  • Acting for an Australian investor in relation to its acquisition of a global South Asian based software development business and its subsequent global corporate group restructure

Caitlin is deeply engaged in the business community and broader profession.  She sits on the Australian Board of a global risk management software solutions provider and the Board of the Sliding Doors Foundation, of which CCK Lawyers is a proud sponsor.

She is a member of the Law Society of South Australia, an affiliate member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Caitlin has served on the STEP South Australia branch committee since 2023.
